SAXO-DIDGE CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES POLICY

Thank you for shopping at Saxo-Didge. We’re honored to share our handmade instruments with musicians around the world. Below is important information regarding customs, duties, and taxes on international shipments.

🌍 INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING & IMPORT RESPONSIBILITY

When purchasing from Saxo-Didge.com, you are responsible for ensuring that the product can be lawfully imported into the destination country.

The recipient of the order is considered the importer of record and must comply with all local laws, regulations, and requirements of the destination country.

💸 IMPORT TAXES, CUSTOMS DUTIES & FEES

Your order may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and handling fees levied by your country’s customs authorities. These charges:

  • Are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
  • Must be paid by the recipient once the shipment arrives in the destination country.
  • Are beyond our control and cannot be predicted in advance.

Saxo-Didge does not collect these charges during checkout, nor do we receive any portion of these fees.

🛂 CUSTOMS CLEARANCE & DELAYS

In some cases, customs clearance procedures may:

  • Require additional documentation or personal identification from the recipient.
  • Cause delays in delivery beyond our original estimated timeframe.

We recommend contacting your local customs office for details specific to your country’s regulations.

🪪 IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTAIN COUNTRIES

Some customs authorities may require the recipient (importer of record) to provide a personal identification number to release a shipment.

This could include:

  • Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  • CPF (Brazil)
  • National ID
  • Unique Identification Number (UIN)

Countries that commonly require ID for customs clearance include:

  • Brazil
  • Chile
  • China
  • Ecuador
  • India
  • Israel
  • Peru
  • Qatar
  • South Africa
  • South Korea
  • Taiwan
  • Turkey

Failure to provide identification may result in delays or the return of the shipment.

📬 IF YOUR PACKAGE IS HELD BY CUSTOMS

If your shipment is held by customs and requires additional steps:

  • You will be contacted by the courier or local customs office.
  • Please respond promptly to avoid further delays or return of your package.
  • If duties or fees are not paid, the shipment may be returned or disposed of by customs.

Saxo-Didge is not responsible for any customs-related costs or the consequences of non-compliance with local regulations.
